If you really knew me...

First off, let's just say that this week has got on my LAST nerve, I'm so freakin' Happy its Finally Friday... even though it IS Friday the 13th!

Friday, Please be nice to me today....
Second off, ;)
On this glorious, (going good so far) Friday morning, I came across this Babes' blog, who jacked it from this Hottie, and so I thought I'd ride the train (choo choo ;) ) and write my own...

If you really knew me...
*you'd know my favorite color is any shade of purple :)
*you'd know that I absolutely my job & the work I do. I'm very passionate about my career in the male dominated field of Public Health
*you'd know that I used to want to be a famous singer growing up, but that all changed once I realized that my singing sounded more like someone was killing a cat... Thanks dad for always pointing that out for me.. :)
*You'd know that I'm the queen of saying "that's what she said" at the most inappropriate times
*You'd know that I love working out, but that I'm trying my hardest to be a "runner".. thus I've signed up to run me 2nd 5K come September.

*You'd know that I played Volleyball, Tennis, Basketball, and ran Track in high school, and the only sport I still play is Volleyball. I usually play in a sand league in the spring and indoors in the fall. (Insider Info: my name on the back of our team shirts is ShoTeaze ;)
* You'd know that I absolutely can not stand the sound of someone popping their knuckles or neck.. it really sounds like dragging your nails on a chalkboard to me..
*You'd know that, like Steph, I can fall asleep anywhere at anytime.. I can honestly say that I nap in my office during my lunch hour at least twice a week... slobber on my desk and all.. Don't Hate..

*You'd know that I'm a sucker for anything that has a floral print.. and really, anything having to do with flowers :)
*You'd know that one of my hobbies is painting. I have about 8 different paintings on display at mi casa.
*You'd know that I have a love hate relationship with OH-...
evidence..

Well that's a good start...
Now that you know the intimate details of my being...
Consider yourself my BFF.. Like Forever and ever and ever!! :)
Tootles Love!

Case of the "Black Foot"

The past few weekends have been dangerously too good of a time for me to be motivated to keep my job.. I just want to turn in my 2 week notice, sell everything I own, and travel around the world!!! But.. my bank account slaps me back to reality this morning... BOOOOO!

I last left off jetsetting to the West Coast for a celebration!
Two of my favorite people got hitched!
Get ready for the "ultimate photo dump"

WoooHoooo!

I got into the San Fransisco Airport on Wednesday and met up with 2 of the other bridesmaids to get the party started.. much to our surprise (NOT) we had a no plans for dinner but instead did a little too much drankin' and the night resulted in a 2AM pizza run :)... Bad Idea?.. but lesson learned Right?!... Right!

Thursday morning we drove to San Jose/ Saratoga where the wedding rehearsal was at the Hokone Gardens...

This place was gorgeous and serene, and all around just really peaceful (perfect place to help heal my major hangover) The coy fish were huge and really friendly to those with food.. you could just reach down and pet them. (I usually don't like petting slimy or wiggling things ;) but in this case I made an exception ;p)
After the rehearsal, all the girls corralled together for a "girls spa day" and the rehearsal dinner.

(Gabby, Me, Alex, Michelle, Jen)

(Bride, Jen, My Pimp)

On to the day of the wedding...
The bridesmaid dresses we're made out of a very soft jersey-like material that wrinkled wayyyy too easy, since they were crumbled in on my carry on, so we had to iron it with a portable hand steamer.. Hence this sillyness..
We drank a little champagne,
listened and danced to some funky music,
all while trying to keep Alex calm..
We were running around on the hotel grounds all morning and in the hotel room..
and we caught "IT".... dun dun dun...

A case of the "Black Foot"
Don't ask...
Our feet were so freaking grosssssss... Don't judge!
And yes.. my feet look freakishly huge, but I promise I wear a size 7.5, so come October.. you can totally get me some Louis' ;) ;)
On our way to the venue we were partaking in the infamous portable bar...

(The nervous Boozing Bride, Me, Gab)

After some goofing off...

and some errotica....
Just trying to keep her makeup off her dress... NO Christian Grey business going on here....

It finally took an army to get Alex zipped up in that dress!

(suck it in!)

Ta-da!

On to the Traditonal Ceremony

Sake Ceremony

I now pronounce you Husband & Wife!
Party Time!!!

All the Bridesmaids

(Me, Brian, Alex, Mr.PIC)

A little slow dancin....

A Lotta Booty Shakin..

Even a hilarious game called the "shoe game".. but they used hankie's instead.

This was one of the best weddings I've ever been to! Now, I may be a little partial because I have known  both the bride and groom, and was even with them the night they met back in 2007. Let's just say that night included skinny dipping in a public pool and a broken toe.. Oh College.. These two crazy kids have a passion for international public health & traveled 3 different countries together! They are def a couple that knows how to get through the up's & downs of life together!
It was such an honor to be a part of this wedding. These two are very important to me and I couldn't be happier for them! I have a lot of love and respect for them, and am so happy to be a part of their life and journey.
Congrats Bryan & Alex!
I <3 You!

West Coast Bound...

This day has been much anticipated..
I'm gettin the heck outta dodge & headed to the west coast..
THANK GOD! The weather here in DFW has been horrendous!

I'm heading out to San Fran for Alexandria's wedding!

Isnt this gorg?!
I cant wait to finally see this pivital landmark I've seen growing up on the "Full House" intro.. you know what I'm talking about?!
Maybe I'll even get to check out the house they filmed in..
NAWWW....
I'm sure I'll be occupying my time with drinking and laughing so hard, that it might come out my nose at this girl..

What'?! she's helping the guy out by making sure his pants are zipped up!

You might remember the shinanigans that went down in New Orleans for her Bachelorette Party.. If not, your missing out so read Here

There's always a good time and a party to be had when we 3 get together. Sheer ridiculousness is bound to happen.. :)

I'll be sure to be posting our activities on Instagram,
so you should def follow :) @ClearlyCrystalLynn

Stork Delivery

First things first...

NO excuses, just going to try my best to make it Happen!

So, on to more "cute" material..
Baby Ava has finally blessed us with her arrival!
She was born on 06/13/12 @7lbs 9oz
This sweet & healthy angel instantly stole my heart, so easily...
I mean serisouly.. look at those cheeks! Its every little girls dream of having a live cabagge patch doll :)
Mr. PIC became a very proud, brand Spankin new uncle this day :)
Proud Uncle Mr PIC & Ava
This baby girl had a huge fan club waiting for her arrival and she did not disappoint! The anticipation of meeting her grew since we found out she was a girl, which you can read all about in my Gender Reveal Party Post
She's the first grandchild in Mr. PIC's family so ya know she's gonna be spoiled ROTTEN! She already has her daddy & Mr. PIC wrapped around her finger... ok ok.. me too, just a lil'. We're already starting to discuss what sports she's gonna play, what college we think she should attend.. and her uncles are already thinking about getting her a T-Shirt every year for her birthday that reads...
"Have you met my 5 uncles?!"
Bless her heart.. this girl isn't going to date till she's 30..
I'm pretty excited that we now have this little girl who we can spoil, but then give right back to her parents to take care of all those other stinky parental duties.
The only nephew I have is 17... (JEEz I'm OLD) and he lives in SA, so I get to see him maybe once or twice a year. Growing up with him was more like having a little brother, so I only get to spoil him now, not so much when he was a kiddo.
So having Ava around is going to be so much fun, so don't be surprised if I post a bazillion (yup I said a bazillion, its a real #.. remember I studied math in college.. don't hold me accountable)  pics on here :)

Me & Mr. PIC getting quality cuddling time

Ava's older (also very hairy & has a tail) sister in the picture with her,
will seriously not leave her side. In almost every picture I took you could see a part of her around. lol.
 Talk about having motherly instincts.

Well that's all I got, sorry I wasn't really witty or funny today. I'm at work, and in some establishments it's frowned upon to drink on the job...
#getanewjob

Peace & Love
I'm OUT!

Show me your shoes!!!!

>Let's see.. where did I leave off...
Oh Yes..
FIESTA Festivities!
That weekend started off with me taking my Mom to a B.Y.O.B. painting class for her birthday/Mothers Day. Yup.. you read that right.. we got to bring our own booze, sip (okok..drink like its water) while we tried to pay attention to the instructor giving us a step by step tutorial on how NOT to mess up this paiting...
Well, Let me tell you.. My inner Picasso exploded on the canvas...I blame the booze!
(Momma & I )
(almost perfection)

 BAM!
They really turned out great! Now me and my mom will have the same painting in our homes, 400 miles apart, a little peice of heaven to remind me of our date :)
Moving right along...
we spent the better day of Saturday driving around the city, visiting family
We paid a special visit to my cousin's little girl Ella... She's a doll!
(and obviously ready to Parrrrttt-Tayyyy)
Fell in love with this cutie pie
(Oh cmon.. let me take him home... my 3 other dogs would love him!)
Later that day, we made our way to the festivities.
We did a little eating, a little drinking... ok ok.. alot of drinking.. Jeez.
This event happens once a year and I get to spoil myself right? RIGHT!
On to the Parade :)
(Me & Mr.PIC)
So yes I look like I'm 12 wearing one of those flowered crowns.. but hey.. "when in Rome" right. There were also lots of beads being thrown out, none of which I'm proud to say I didn't earn the good ole way lol

The Flambeau Night Parade is so freaking huge in San Antonio.. this is a picture of just a couple of blocks worth of the parade's 3 mile route all through downtown San Antonio.
The theme for this year's parade was "Night at the Movies"
Now for the fun floats:
So through the loud crowd noise of people yelling, screaming, laughing, whistling.. its customary to yell at the ladies "Show me your Shoes!!"
and its pretty hilarious to see what these girls come out there with..
it can range from super cute high heels, to bunny slippers, cowboy boots, rain boots, and even bare footed.
These girls wear some elaborate dresses with the trains that are triple their height! Look at the back of that float.. it was draped with beautiful swarovski Crystals' in a solar system motif

girl's shakin their tail feathers :)
Im sure this little blog post doesn't do this party justice but its on my calendar every year.. and I can't wait for next year :)
