Happy Halloween everyone! Things have been pretty busy lately.. I took a trip to Baltimore/Washington D.C. and then it was Halloween!  Its true what they say, time flies when your having fun! I will get around to posting more about my wandering travels to the east coast, but I feel more compelled to write about the festivities about Halloween. Me and the bf have been trying to figure out a costume for months! See, my favorite Holiday is Halloween because growing up I've always had Halloween costume parties for my B-day parties. Its always been a festivity and family tradition to dress up every year... so why change that now. So this year we decided to go as one of our favorite shows to watch together.. Archer!  We quickly started looking for wigs and props to go with our costumes and surprisingly it came out pretty easy... We decided to go to a local fancy hotel's Halloween party with our neighbors and friends. This is what chaos went down!
I went as Lana Kane and my bf went as Sterling Archer! We had an absolute blast! But as you can see.. a couple of drinks in and I was taking aim at some of the parties props lol. My friend came as a Pink Lady from grease.. hilarious chica! Love her to death!
On Halloween night, we don't have any kids nor know any small children locally, so we didn't do very much. We live in a condo/apartment, so we didn't have any trick-or-treators. Its holidays like this where I wish I could borrow some friends kids and spoil the heck outta them! Maybe next year... lol

Birthday Celebrations

Friday was one of the best days of my life! I had such a great birthday, I couldn't have asked for anything more. It started off with my fantastic bf making me french toast for breakfast! Straight up with orange juice and syrup and everything! So dang good :) Then I was gifted with these beauties! My jaw dropped when I saw these in the box.. ridic. They haven't left my ears since :)They have some kind of cool locking part in the back, so I don't loose them when I sleep/workout. My bf knows how easily I can loose things... :)
On Friday, I took half a day at work and went immediately home to relax the rest of the day..or so I thought...  until I saw this when I walked in!My parents drove into town (4.5 hour drive) that morning to surprise me with presents, flowers, and cake! I absolutely love them! They are so slick.. My mom was pretending all morning that she was in "meetings at work".. to my surprise she was sitting on y freaking couch on gchat! What a sly woman! We ordered some pizza and just visited until it was time to get ready to head to my surprise birthday plans for the evening.... This is where the fun started! My bf arranged for family and friends to meet here!

It was an absolute blast! My parents had a great time! The show was hilarious, and I'm proud to say that my table solved the crime! Later that night, we headed to a really cool Lebanese Restaurant that had a Hookah Bar! Here's my mother giving me the finger...the parental "no no no" finger lol

On Saturday we headed to the Texas State Fair, for which is famous for all the fried food there! Five min into the gate my parents go straight for the ice cream! HAHA at least I know where I get it from :)

We ate fried Peanut Butter/Jelly/Banana Sandwiches, Fried Oreos, a Footlong Hotdog, a Funnel Cake and some yummy ice cold root beer. We walked around for a couple of hours and took a picture in front of Big Tex which is a huge statue that moves its neck and waves.. its pretty freaky.. Jake decided he will still hungry and wanted to eat my head off.. what a goober!

We were kinda exhausted from walking all freaking day, so we headed home to continue the celebrations and cut my delicious cake! Jake's mom got me Sherries Berries which are fresh chocolate covered strawberries.. AMAZING as you can tell from me almost swallowing them whole!

Well that was my birthday weekend.. super fun and I couldn't have asked for more!
Till next time.. Taa Taa

Weekend update

This weekend was pretty chill and relaxing, with nothing too major. Friday night was a date night with me and my hunny :) We went to Top Golf, which is a driving range but for points! You basically have to hit the golf ball into certain holes to get point. The weather was absolutely perfect at about 80degrees and a slight wind. Now I've maybe gone to a driving range twice in my life, but I'd like to think I'm pretty athletic so I let those talents shine.

See theres not that much to it.. but it was certainly fun!

Ha! So I barely beat him.. but I'll take it! He had beat me the 2 games before so winning the last and final game was a good way to end the night lol.

We ordered some nachos and a custom pizza. It had sausage, mushrooms and egg. yup.. egg. Almost like a breakfast pizza, but for dinner... how could we go wrong. It was super yummy.
On to Saturday, where I got to sleep in till about 11am which was so nice. Got a workout in and then went and had dinner at Plucker's with a couple of old friends. The 32oz beers here were ridiculously huge. I got Samuel Adams Oktoberfest.. which is so divinely good. I love this time of year!

On to Sunday, I gave the pups a puppy bath and made them smell so fresh n clean. They got to snuggle with me on the couch to watch some football. I had a volleyball game at 3 and then proceeded to go have dinner with family.
Look at that spread! I gained about 10 pounds and an extra buttcheeck :) It was so good, with plenty of left overs for the week :)
We also decided to make a pumpkin this year and put it out front of our apartment. Midway through the labor intensive delivery of it.. this is what it looked like...

Pics of the final evil pumpkin head up next..... bwahahhahahahaa...

What Better Excuse...

This morning was one of those mornings where in a pivotal point in time I made the decision to have a "personal" day and call in sick to work. Sneaky Sneaky I know.. but it's definitely needed :) The first item on the list to be completed was more sleep.. so back to zzzzz I went, but of course the pups were nagging me to get up and play! What punks...
After I slept in till abt 9:30ish, I got up and decided to go have lunch with my boyfriend at his favorite sushi place. It was fantastic, especially since I haven't had sushi in a month or so, and that's way too long for me.  I ordered the Midori roll, which has no rice, and is wrapped in cucumber.. delicious!

These were their crab nachos.. the bottom of them were Tostitos scoops! But they were still prett
y yummy. After my fantastic lunch, I decided it was time to start my personal day. I found myself outside of a Starbucks with the seasons first appearance of a Pumpkin Spice Latte! Mmmm So Good!

Isnt it pretty.. :)
Well the weather here in Dallas could not be prettier for sitting on a patio and relaxing. The wind is blowing slightly, the sun is shinning, and birds are singing! Even some of the leaves are starting to fall.

Till next time my Gems..

Slowly but surely...

Its time for that time of year when the wind turns crisp and the leaves change. But best of all its that time of year that I can start wearing scarfs and tall boots, plus it usually means my birthday is right around the corner!!! I can not wait to celebrate this past year with all my friends and family... just about 3 more weeks. Oh Boy..
As you can see I have made some simple yet very aesthetically appealing changes in the layout. I'm just starting out this whole thing, so its a learning process and I'll take it one day at a time. More pictures about life coming soon, once I get all this normal posting down. Thanx a bunch.
