Barely Alive

I'm so sorry that this explanation is coming late, but I think you'll forgive me after you see the craziness that I'm still recovering from...

Plus.. I just got promoted @ work (YAY!)  and I'm trying to transition/hire for my old position.. needless to say its a little hectic ...

But on to the good stuff...

I think I have about 5 neuron's left in my noggin

after NOLA.... All in celebration of my love Ms. Alex

Me and this girl go way back..

She is one of the sweetest, genuine, and all out just hilarious women I have the pleasure of knowing.

She's the kinda girl that where ever she is... is where the party's at!

So when I heard the bachelorette party was going to go down in New Orleans, I got pretty excited because I had never been! I love traveling and learning about new places so this was gonna be freakin awesome! But every time I told someone that I was going to NOLA, I'd get a weird faced reaction and a response of.. "what ever you do.. don't wear open toe shoes on Bourbon"....

Now, what the heck kind of advice is that?! ....But whatev's.. I was still excited to go on this trip... so off I went to go pack...

The Bachelorette shenanigans were complete madness...

for the lack of neurons still trying to recuperate... we'll let the photo's explain the fantastic time I had in NOLA>

The next night... we hit the jackpot and attended the "Boy"lesque Show @ the House of Blues..

And we have no clue what was up with this monkey boy.. He was wearing knee high- high heels and was throwing bananas into the crowd while making monkey sounds.. Then he requested the audience to come spank the monkey after the show lol

I had to result to diggin my head under a couple of pillows all while trying not to sufficate myself!

This is my grandma, all 4'10 of her... (she proudly admits she's an inch taller than being considered a little person)

She is the most sweetest, caring, loving woman of 11 children you will ever meet (also insanely hilarious from time to time).

She is also my source for gossip on the rest of the large fam :) hence my phone call to her to see what everyone's dirt is recently :)

Also.. I wasnt feeling very good sunday,

so these guys are always a crowd pleaser for me :)

I've been trying to be a penny pincher and save up and pay down my debts,

so I've packed me & the BF's lunch as much as I could for the past year +.

We try and eat as healthy as we can, so I make an attempt to always throw in some kind of fruit for breakfast or snack. 

Today's fruit variety included a Gala Apple ( I <3 Apples.. :)) 

 and a couple of cuties (really small oranges).

"Your Neighborhood"

Ok OK so this one was kinda tough...

We just moved in a couple of weeks ago 

and haven't had the privilege of scouting out our new digs

BUT these are the gorgeous roses that are planted on the side our our house,

the front of our house on a really cloudy and depressing day. 

The coolest part, is we live a block away from the Farmers Branch Historical Park

which is pretty neat.. I'm sure we'll head over there soon and I'll post some pics.

The neighborhood we live in is really awesome.Some of the houses down the street are straight up Mansions... makes ours look like the maidshoues lol

On this fine Saturday,

we spent most of it still unpacking.

We took a break and went running around town..

with that I was sporting my buddies awesome sunglasses..

Later on that afternoon,

the BF treated me to an awesome date 

to Fogo De Chao!

 It felt like I ate myself to a size 40!

After my boyfriend bragged to the wait staff that I recently got a promotion at work, 

and that he was now with a 'suga momma' (boy must be trippin)

They surprised me with this :)

 This amazing stuff was Brazilian flan... if you ever get a chance to taste this masterpiece.. 

do yourself a favor and DO it! Its def not on my regrets, and I don't mind having to run a couple of extra miles to work it off :)

Monday night was one of those awesome nights that make up for all the late afternoon meetings...

We got suite tickets to the Radiohead concert!

An open bar, great food... All Free and as much as you wanted!

hilarious part was that we kept pointing out all the lighter's lighting up and clouds of smoke coming from the large crowd on the floor... We were HotBoxed! Like Whoa!

Now I was totally gonna do like an OOTD "outfit of the day"

but I was totally not dressed to impress this day,

so I figured what better thing to showcase

than something that I wear practically everyday at work!

I run this thing dry of juice everyday

listening to the local radio and the reg downloaded music.

This was birthday gift from the BF when I turned 26 and he got it engraved with his nickname for me :)

So sweet :)

I take this thing everywhere! 

It registers all my workouts and keeps me in check for when I haven't logged in my exercise time!

This is my Strawberry Martini that I had at a sushi restaurant tonight

not necessary my favorite, but I needed something red today lol

Its lent, so on Fridays I can not eat meat...

But fish is allowed..

so this is my excuse to go eat sushi every Friday..

Win-Win for me in my opinion :)

 So far I'm keeping up with this challenge and I'm knocking it out the park!
